Launching Ceremony of Amrutha Varsha Logo
Ramakrishna Math Mangaluru completed #75_Years of its fruitful existence richly enhancing the cultural and spiritual progress of Mangaluru. To commemorate this historic occasion ” Amrutha Versha ” the Math is organising mega cultural & spiritual events “Amrutha Sangama” on the 3rd and 4th of June 2022.
In this background, a press conference was held today at Ramakrishna Ashram to brief the press media about the schedule of various events of the programme. LOGO of the eagerly awaited Amrit Mahotsava was also unveiled during the occasion. Releasing the LOGO of the Amrutha Versha (1947 -2022), Sri Vedavyas Kamath, MLA expressed that he was overwhelmed to release the LOGO and that he considered it his good fortune to participate in the activities of Math and make the programme memorable.
Swami Ekagamyanandji Maharaj disclosed the proposed schedule of events for the celebration and sought full support and cooperation of the media in giving wide publicity to the Amrutha Versha programme. Pujya Swami Jitakamanandaji throwing light on the social activities of the Math revealed that it is proposed to construct ‘Amrutha Bhavan’ to house classrooms for tuition to Kannada medium school going poor students and appealed for the support of the devotees for the noble cause.
Sri Premanand Shetty, the Mayor, recalling Math’s invaluable contributions to the people of Mangaluru, especially Swacchatha Abhiyan, assured his full support for the upcoming grand event. Capt. Ganesh Karnik, Ex MLC, in his address called for full and active participation of the people of Mangaluru and to make the mega event an unforgettable memory. Sri Umanath Kotekar proposed by vote of thanks. Sri Ranjan Bellarpady of Swacch Mnagluru Foundation welcomed the gatherings.
