Swacchata Jagriti Jan Sampark Abhiyan
The cleanliness campaign becomes more effective when it is combined with the awareness programme. In this regard, the Ramakrishna Mission contacted more than 40,000 houses and organizations and carried out more than 1000 awareness projects throughout our district. These events were conducted every day in the evenings at various venues. During each event, which lasted for one and a half hours, our volunteers organized awareness programmes with the slogan “Our garbage, our responsibility” They held demonstration classes to educate people on how to prepare organic manure at home using earthen compost pots. Distribution of compost pots along with handbooks of instructions was also taken up at these events. ‘Swacch Bharat’ pamphlets were distributed to the people to create awareness.
