Swacch Gram Abhiyan for Rural areas
Clean Dakshina Kannada- Clean Udupi: More than 2000 cleanliness drive programmes were conducted in 200 villages of the districts. Swacch Gram programmes were organized in association with Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Zilla Panchayats. 100 volunteers from every village were nominated as members of the Abhiyan. They were provided with T-shirts with logos, gloves and other cleaning materials. These members took up shramdan programmes on one Sunday of every month in their respective villages.
