Youth Day Celebrations
Ashram organises National Youth Day on every year on January 12th in the Ashram Campus.
The Government of India in 1984, decided to observe the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, the Maker of
Modern India, on 12th January as National Youth Day every year from 1985 onwards. In its communication, the Govt. of India stated: “It was felt that the philosophy of Swamiji and the ideals for which he lived and worked could be a great source of inspiration for the Indian youth.’ India has the world’s largest youth population and every third person in India is a youth. This makes our nation the land of opportunities and immense possibilities, for youths are the future of our nation. In this regard, Ashram organizes National Youth Day every year on January 12th in the Ashram Campus. Youths from various educational institutions participate in the day-long programme and are immensely benefitted from thought-provoking sessions and interaction with the resource persons.
