Swacch Mangaluru for Swacch Bharat Shramadans
Every Sunday morning from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, hundreds of volunteers take up a cleanliness drive at various venues in the city. These ambassadors of cleanliness clean the streets, drains, and public toilets. They renovate and paint bus shelters and erect signposts wherever necessary. They clean up roadside dump sites and beautify them with flower pots. New parks are developed and old parks are renovated wherever possible. The flyovers are painted and beautified with artwork. Unofficial and illegal banners and posters are removed from public places.
