Swacch Mangaluru for Swacch Bharat Shramadans
Every Sunday morning from 7:00 am to 9:00 am hundreds of volunteers took up a cleanliness drive at various venues of the city. These ambassadors of cleanliness cleaned the streets, drains and public toilets. They renovated and painted bus shelters and erected signposts wherever necessary. They cleaned up roadside garbage dumping places and beautified them with flower pots. New parks were initiated and old parks were renovated wherever possible. The flyovers were painted and beautified with the artwork. Unofficial & illegal banners and posters were removed from public places.
