Swacch Mangaluru for Swacch Bharat Shramadans

Every Sunday morning, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., hundreds of dedicated volunteers come together across the city for a massive cleanliness drive.

These true ambassadors of cleanliness sweep streets, clean drains and public toilets, and transform neglected spaces. Bus shelters are renovated and freshly painted, signposts are installed wherever needed, and roadside dump sites are cleared and beautified with flower pots.

New parks are developed, while old parks are restored to their former glory. Flyovers are painted and enhanced with vibrant artwork, adding colour and character to the cityscape. Unofficial and illegal banners and posters are systematically removed from public spaces, restoring dignity and order to the surroundings.

Together, these collective efforts are shaping a cleaner, greener and more beautiful city.
