Vivekananda Coaching Center-2014 Free Study Material Distribution

     Academic Year – 2014 of Vivekananda Coaching Center at Ramakrishna Mission, Mangalore was inaugurated by Sri Mahabala Marla, Mayor, MCC on 1st June 2014.
     Swami Jitakamanandaji, Presient, Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore, Sri Premananda Shetty, Opposition Leader, MCC and Prof Raghavendra Prabhu M., Retd Principal, Leadership and HRD college, Mangalore were present on the occasion.
Free Uniform, School Bag, Umbrella, Note Book etc were distributed to around 150 needy students.
12 PUC and 8 SSLC Coaching class alumni who had performed well in  SSLC and PUC II were felicitated.
     Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Coaching Class is an institution working for the upliftment of needy students. Daily tuition classes are taken for students from 5th to 10th Standard, who dwell in near by slums. Daily they are provided with nutritious food and milk. Also tooth brush, tooth paste, soap, oil etc are given to create awareness about health and hygiene. Regular health check up camps are also conducted for them.
     Every week classes are taken to impart culture and character. Also many competitions are conducted to bring out the hidden talents in them.




NATIONAL YOUTH DAY – 12th JAN 2014

CONCLUDING CEREMONY OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA’S 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY 

ON THE 12TH OF JAN 2014, NATIONAL YOUTH DAY WAS HELD AT RAMAKRISHNA MATH MANGALORE.

                            NATIONAL YOUTH DAY WAS INAUGURATED AT 9-30 AM BY HON. MINISTER SRI KRISHNA BYRE GOWDA FOLLOWED BY HIS INAUGURAL ADDRESS.

                                SWAMI JITAKAMANANDAJI GAVE KEY NOTE ADDRESS. PROF. K RAGHOTHAMA RAO, HNA, BANGALORE, INTERACTED WITH YOUTHS. SRI TEJASWI SURYA SPOKE ON  “SWAMI VIVEKANANDA & INDIA”

ON THE SAME OCCASION  A DVD (ON SWAMI VIVEKANANDA’S CHILDHOOD  “NARENDRA” ) WAS RELEASED BY DR. VINAY HEGDE, HON CHANCELLOR, NITTE UNIVERSITY. SRI J R LOBO HON. MLA, MANGALORE WAS THE CHIEF GUEST.

                                 STUDENTS WERE GIVEN TEA-SNACKS, LUNCH,  COMPLIMENTARY BOOKS & CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION. ALL TOGETHER ABOUT 800 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED  IN THE PROGRAMME.

Darshana – The Vision : A Report

We conducted the programme “Darshana – The Vision” on the 24th, 25th and 26th of September 2012 for Post Graduate Students, Degree Students and Degree Students(Girls) consecutively.  All together about 1800 students participated  in the programme.

Day 1 On the 24th the programme was inaugurated by Sri C T Ravi, Hon minister for Higher Education, Govt of Karnataka. Sri Ajai Kumar, Chairman & MD, Corporation Bank, Mangalore was the chief guest. Sri Monappa Bhandari, Member of Legislative Council, Karnataka also attended the programme. A documentary based on the Life and Works of Swami Vivekananda was shown.

Day 2 – On the 25th the programme was inaugurated by Sri Kota Srinivas Poojari, Hon Minster for Port & Inland Water Transportation, Govt of Karnataka. Capt Ganesh Karnik was the chief guest. There was a guided meditation and Bhajan session by Rev Swami Purnakamanandaji Maharaj. A special lecture by Sri Kajampadi Subrahmanya Bhat was arranged.

Day 3 – On the 26th Ms Shobha Karandlaje, Hon Minister for Energy, Govt of Karnataka inaugurated the programme. Dr Rameela Shekhar, Prof & Dean, PG Dept, Roshani Nilaya, Mangalore conducted the interactive session.

Swami Anupamanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh addressed the gathering and Prof. Raghottama Rao, Manas Centre for Training & Academy , Bangalore conducted the interactive session based on ppt and short films on all the three days on different subjects.

All the participating delegates were given snacks, tea, lunch and complimentary booklets.
