Swacch Mangaluru Mission in Action

Swacch Mangaluru for Swacch Bharath Programme started its Cleanliness drive on 1st February 2015 Sunday.

Mangaladevi Wards was cleaned on 1st Sunday.

Around 1000 youth volunteers, public and devotees cleaned the surround area of Mangaladevi Temple, Ramakrishna Math, Srinivas College etc

Swacch Mangaluru for Swacch Bharath Launching

‘Swacch Mangaluru for Swacch Bharath’ was launched in a grand function at Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru on 1st February 2015 Sunday.

In a nutshell, its about 4000 youths participating in the 40 weeks cleanliness drive in 40 different wards of the Mangaluru city under the aegis of the Ramakrishna Mission. This will include cleaning the localities, creating an awareness among the localites and improving the basic amenities of the region.

On the 1st February about 75 sweepers and other employees of Mangaluru City Corporation were honoured as a token of respect for the service they are contributing in rendering the city clean.

Around 1000 youths, public and devotees participated in the function.

Swacch Mangaluru for Swacch Bharath Jatha

Ramakrishna Mission Mangaluru had organised a Jatha on 1st February 2015 to create awareness in the public about Cleanliness. Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLC and Swami Atmarupanandaji, USA flagged off the rally at Town Hall, Mangaluru. Around 500 youths had participated in the event.

Shraddha – Seminar on Values for Post-Graduate Students

Mangalore Ramakrishna Math had organized Shraddha – Seminar on Values for Post Graduate Students on the 11th September 2014.

The day’s programme commenced with the invocation of Vedic hymns.

Sri Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, Mangalore and Dr N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte University, Mangalore inaugurated the Seminar- Shraddha. Dr N Vinay Hegde said “Self confidence is the most needed thing in the life. You can achieve even impossible goal if you have confidence.” in his Inaugural address.

Swami Jitakamanandaji, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore in his Keynote address reminded the students that they have the responsibility of building their character.

Swami Sarvapriyanandaji interacted with the students on ‘Self-Management: Modern Positive Psychology and Ancient Wisdom’. Swami Mangalanathanandaji spoke on ‘Shraddha: Key to Success’ and Prof Raghothama Rao discussed the topic, ‘Communication Skills’.

Smt Sujatha P V compered the seminar.

Around 550 students participated in the seminar. Complementary books were distributed at the end of the programme along with customized pens, notepads, certificates etc. All the delegates were served lunch, snacks and tea.
